Completion time varies based on the size and characteristics of your organization and the number of positions and benefits that apply. The Get Started materials and Data Collection Checklist available within the survey can help you gather your information and reduce the time required.

The survey asks for organizational and staffing information, compensation information for applicable positions, and information about the benefits your organization offers. Depending on the benefits you provide, you may also need information about plan participation, employer and employee costs, eligibility requirements, leave, retirement plans and executive benefits. The survey includes Get Started materials and a Data Collection Checklist to help you prepare. Survey data should reflect your organization as of September 1, 2026.

The 2027 Nonprofit Organizations Salary & Benefits Report is scheduled to become available beginning in February 2027. Organizations that complete both the salary and benefits portions of the survey will receive a coupon code for 100% off the report when it becomes available.

Organization-specific data entered in the survey is confidential and will not be shared directly with any other organization. Survey data is used in aggregate to compute the overall results for individual survey metrics. The name and logo of participating organizations may be displayed in future lists of survey participants for survey reporting and marketing purposes.
