Crosson To Head DMAW, Tschiffely To Retire

Raeshawn Crosson has been appointed executive director of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington. She steps into the role held by Donna Tschiffely for nearly two decades. Tschiffely who will be stepping down at the end of the year.

Crosson has more than 15 years’ experience in nonprofit and association leadership, with a track record in strategic planning, team building, member engagement, and organizational innovation. She most recently was director, association solutions at IMN in Arlington, Virginia, and is chief executive officer of Crosson Strategies.

Under Tschiffely’s stewardship, DMAW has significantly expanded its programming, elevated member engagement, and forged groundbreaking partnerships — including co-producing the Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference with the Washinton, D.C., chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and launching the Nonprofit Fundraisers Symposium with The Nonprofit Alliance (TNPA).

“Donna’s impact on DMAW and the broader nonprofit marketing community cannot be overstated,” said Karin Kirchoff, DMAW President. “Her leadership has been instrumental in building a vibrant, mission-driven organization. We are deeply grateful for her service, her vision, and the powerful legacy she leaves.”

Tschiffely will remain with the organization through the end of 2025, working closely with Crosson and the DMAW team to support continuity, knowledge transfer, and a shared vision for the future.
