Kindsight, a provider of fundraising intelligence software, has acquired Affinaquest, parent of Advancement RM (a constituent relationship CRM platform) and Athletics Data Solutions. The acquisition combines Affinaquest and Kindsight’s expertise in advancement operations, data strategy, and constituent engagement, along with their shared Salesforce underpinning.
The deal strengthens Kindsight’s abilities in the higher education, healthcare, enterprise nonprofits, and athletics silos. It comes a little more than a year after a new corporate umbrella which was named Kindsight, was established to house iWave, UC Innovation and it fundraising platform Ascend Fundraising Solutions, and NonprofitOS.
Terms of this deal were not disclosed. This past May, Kindsight launched its Fundraising Intelligence platform. Users can access live donor data to identify top prospects and deliver personalized outreach. In launching the platform, the firm is transitioning away from traditional wealth screens and introducing Live Donor Profiles because many traditional wealth screening methods have limitations, according to the firm.
“These are unprecedented times for fundraising. There’s more data at our fingertips than we could have imagined just a few years ago. And we’re all navigating a landscape shaped by economic uncertainty, shifting policies, and evolving donor expectations,” Kindsight CEO Ross Beattie said via a statement. “But through it all, one thing remains constant: our mission to inspire greater generosity and empower clients to uplift their causes. Affinaquest joining Kindsight is a testament to that mission.”
Kindsight reports 30,000 users of its products, ranging from small, $1 million nonprofits to those that exceed $1 billion, and 90 consultants and firms in its partners program. There were 200 employees in a remote-first work environment at the time Kindsight was formed, although there are offices in multiple locations. All three of the original Kindsight firms are funded by private equity investor Incline Equity Partners, which also owns fundraising agency RKD Group.
