Lucretia Gilbert To Head RMH-NY

Lucretia Gilbert was appointed president and chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House New York (RMH-NY) effective January 26, 2026. Gilbert will succeed Dr. Ruth C. Browne.

She joins RMH-NY recently from the Elton John AIDS Foundation, where she served as chief philanthropy officer for five years, following a 13-year tenure at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the world’s largest private funder of breast cancer research.

At the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Gilbert helped spearhead a transformational $200 million global campaign to expand access to care and prevention services. As chief philanthropy officer at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, she led a high-performing development enterprise that generated more than $800 million in revenue. She also simultaneously served as executive director of The Pink Agenda, where she developed cross-generational engagement strategies and innovative partnerships to cultivate emerging philanthropists.

Gilbert has held senior leadership roles at Gilda’s Club Worldwide and the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter.
