Momentive Software has acquired association management platform Personify. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. This is Momentive’s fourth acquisition, following the recent purchase of volunteer management software provider VolunteerMatters, association and certification management software provider Cobalt, and learning management solutions provider Blue Sky eLearn.
The combined company will serve more than 37,000 organizations worldwide with AI-driven insights, enabling predictive analytics and personalized engagement that drive measurable value for associations supporting more than 287 million members, according to an announcement of the deal.
Approximately 250 staff from Personify will join Momentive Software. Momentive will employ approximately 1,550 people globally. Leadership roles will be evaluated holistically and “we will combine the strongest talent from both organizations,” a Momentive Software spokesperson told The NonProfit Times. “Our goal is to build a unified, high-performing team that supports growth and delivers consistently excellent client experiences.”
Along with association management, the Personify platform includes event management, job board software, and member engagement tools. This news follows the unveiling of MomentiveIQ™, an AI-powered platform built exclusively for nonprofits and associations that is intended to deliver actionable insights, personalized engagement, and automated workflows.
More than 17,000 organizations use Personify’s product suite to build revenue streams and handle other actions. With complementary products to Momentive’s existing portfolio, the acquisition is intended to provide end-to-end solutions built for the unique needs of mission-driven organizations, enabling users to make data-driven decisions that ultimately achieve faster growth, according to the announcement.

This accelerates the pace at which we can provide increased value to our clients, helping them create authentic connections, manage more efficiently, and bring on better outcomes for those they serve.”
TA Associates, a private equity firm, acquired the Association & Events (A&E) and Nonprofit Solutions divisions from Community Brands in July 2024 and created Momentive Software. Guggenheim Partners, Baird, and Shea & Company served as financial advisors to TA on the transaction. Ropes & Gray LLP served as legal adviser to TA. Terms of that deal were not disclosed.
