Two well-known, skills-based volunteering nonprofits, Pyxera Global and Common Impact, agreed to work together more closely to deliver a broader continuum of services to Fortune 500 multinational companies and other organizations worldwide.

Pyxera Global and Common Impact during the past several years have been steadily building a collaborative relationship to advancing the practice of skills-based volunteering. The partnership brings together expertise in leveraging corporate talent for social good.

Pyxera Global, has a global reach and experience in corporate social responsibility and shared-value strategies. Common Impact brings virtual models in skills-based volunteering thought leadership, and capacity-building engagements.

Both organizations will remain separate entities, although there will be operational coordination, officials said. Both have name brand value and relationships but together can accomplish more, according to officials.

Pyxera is the larger of the two, with revenue of $17.3 million and expenses of $16.9 million, according to data on the organization’s federal Form 990 for 2024. Common Impact had revenue of $3.6 million and expenses of $3.97 million, according to its most recent Form 990, which was for 2023.

The vision and value proposition for the alliance is to create a stronger, more resilient platform that delivers greater value and opportunities to both organizations’ clients, partners, and communities. “This is a moment that calls for scale, efficiency, and collective leadership,” Rachel Hutchisson, CEO, Common Impact, said via a statement. “By uniting our networks, methodologies, knowledge gained over many years, and talent, we’re not just adapting to change — we’re helping to shape the future of the SBV movement.”

Deirdre White, CEO, Pyxera Global, said via a statement: “In today’s volatile environment, it’s more important than ever for mission-driven organizations to unite, to pool strengths, share resources, and innovate collectively. By joining with Common Impact, Pyxera Global is building a stronger, more resilient platform that can better serve both organization’s clients, support our partners, and deliver greater impact for communities worldwide.”
