Bennett Weiner, executive vice president and COO of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance, will become the organization’s next president and CEO effective March 31, as H. Art Taylor departs after a long tenure of leadership.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Bennett Weiner stepping into the role of president and CEO,” Andras Kosaras, chair of the BBB WGA Board of Directors, said via a statement. Weiner was instrumental in shaping BBB WGA’s strategic direction and operations for more than two decades. “His extensive experience, deep understanding of operations, and long-standing commitment to our mission make him uniquely qualified to lead the organization forward and will ensure a seamless transition that maintains the high standards and trust BBB WGA has established in the charitable sector,” according to Kosaras.
Both Taylor and Weiner have been an integral part of BBB WGA for more than two decades, working together to develop and implement the organization’s strategic vision. Under their collaborative leadership, BBB WGA has strengthened its Standards for Charity Accountability, expanded its evaluation program, and enhanced its digital presence to better serve donors and charitable organizations.
“I am looking forward to leading BBB WGA and continuing key initiatives and innovations, including the recent enhancement of our digital evaluation platform, while maintaining the core values that have made BBB WGA the trusted voice in charitable accountability,” Weiner added via the statement.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to Art Taylor, who has led BBB WGA since 2001, for his visionary leadership and significant contributions to BBB WGA and the charitable sector as a whole,” said Kosaras. “His work has advanced trust and accountability in philanthropy, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors.”
